It's been a while!!!
September 10, 2008 09:53AM
Alright...first things first.
My triviumworld membership was in limbo for a while because my dad's credit card that had housed me here for my first year here had become null and void, since he had maaxxed that shit out, so when the card went through to renew here on july 17th, it rejected it.
Life had become a little less awesome without this site...all I could do was read the blogs and read the news updates on the main page...and thats it!
Well I got my check card today, and immediately ran off a transaction at a cash machine so I could get back on here, sooo I did!
Anyways, stuff that's been going on...
Went to Rockstar Mayhem Fest on August 17th...was a badass show...much better than Ozzfest...and more diverse as well.
Five Finger Death Punch was brutal...I got kicked in the face a few times while they were playing and got a busted lip as well as a bruised eye...Lovin it!
Machine Head (the best performed band there) was amazing...They played Clenching The Fists Of Dissent, Imperium, Beautiful Mourning, and they were finishing off Halo when Phil Demmel collapsed onstage like a bag of bricks....it was fucking shocking. I'm sure you all read about it, but I saw that shit firsthand since I was on the barricade.
Disturbed and Slipknot ruled...what else to say is there really?
I started college 2 weeks ago. I'm loving it here...lots of free time hangin out in the lounge, easy classes...really smooth. Also, I got a grant from the government and state that paid my tuition, my books and I got myself a nice laptop and some clothes...awesome.
Anyways, thats about it. I had to update ya'll on what's been going on here, since my membership was in limbo for a while...bring on year number 2!k
Metal Masters Ruled!!!

Okay, so my fat friend Brandon came over and we stayed up all night listening to a fuckload of Testament on Wednesday night, while playing some Grand Theft Auto (amazing game series).
We got picked up by some guy we didnt even know around 3 PM, named Cyrus, and we found out, he's a fuckin hilarious guy. He was showing up at the concert for Motorhead primarily, and he hates John Mayer as much as I do. Amazing hahaha.
Anyways, we stopped at a 7-Eleven, grabbed something to eat (those taquitos they sell are amazing) and showed up at the gig around 5:10 or so, which gave us a little bit of time to walk around before thrash metal legends Testament took the stage (one of my favorite bands ever).
When Testament got on at 5:30, the crowd was a little disheartening, but some people were getting into it which was great. Their setlist was as follows:
Intro (Eerie Inhabitants acoustic intro)
Intro to Legions in Hiding (just like in the early 90s)
Over The Wall
The New Order
Practice What You Preach
Souls Of Black
More Than Meets The Eye
The Formnation of Damnation
It fuckin sucks..only 6 songs... I wanted to hear DNR and Low and maybe a ballad like Trail of Tears or something...oh well. What we got was awesome and they delivered.
Me and Brandon went and got a pizza and some Mountain Dew (fuckin ripoff...a personal pizza and 2 sodas was . Fuckin worthless) and came back in time for Motorhead. Lemmy just walked out onstage with a cigarette in his mouth and put it out on the stage. That guy is a GOD. I don't remember their exact setlist, but they opened with Dr. Rock and Stay Clean, and played Killers, Ace Of Spades and ended with Overkill (of course).
Then we walked around the venue a bit, and looked at some of the small tents. There was some cool stuff, but I wasnt going to buy any of it.
Heaven and Hell was up next, and they opened with Mob Rules and Children of The Sea, then after that, me and Brandon went and got some more drinks, since in the middle of their set, it got a bit boring, and I was definetely looking forward to Judas Priest. Iommi is a god, but I dunno...I wish they could have done some Ozzy era stuff. They did close with a 15 minute jam on "Heaven and Hell" which was amazing though.
It was finally dark out in the middle of Heaven and Hell's set, so we were finally set for Judas Fucking Priest.
And the "Metal Gods" delivered of course....Nostradamus, Metal Gods, Dissident Aggressor, Breaking the Law, The Hellion, Electric Eye, Painkiller, Hell Bent for Leather, You've Got Another Thing Comin' and a lot more. It was great. Amazing show.
On the way home, it was a lot like a party, and I'll just leave it at that.
It was a great gig, and I'll be going back to that same venue for the Rockstar Mayhem Fest, which will be fucking monumental, considering Machine Head, Dragonforce, Five Finger Death Punch, Disturbed and the fuckin legends Slipknot headlining. I truly cant wait.
Anyways, if anything cool happens between now and then, I'll be sure to post it up on here. I will (as always) give a full gig report on it...(at least of the bands I enjoy)
Till next time,
Terrance
Well I've been meaning to update this for a while!

Okay, lots of new shit for me now.
I went to Ocean City, MD with my ex girlfriend 2 weeks ago. It was quite fun. I got a very weird looking sunburn, because I only put suntan lotion onto certain parts of my body, so some areas of me were burnt, but others werent...it looks rediculous haha. I still have skin peeling from that. Ocean City was a pretty badass place...the boardwalk seemed to go on for miiiles. I blew a hole in my pocket there too. On the way there, I bought myself a red bull, a honey bun and a slim jim (I seem to love slim jims and bacon lately), and while on the boardwalk, I bought myself a bottle of hawaiian punch, some watermelon flavored slurpee, and then we ate at some rib/steak joint that costed me . Honestly, I'd never normally pay for a meal that costed that much, but oh well...live and learn..Funny, I listened to the entire Trivium discography on the way there and back...the blue demo, ember and half of ascendancy were done on the way there, and I listened to the second half of ascendancy and the crusade on the way back...Then I threw in Days of Purgatory by Iced Earth and listened to "Dante's Inferno"...that fucking song...probably the best song ever written. Check it out, definetely. It's so...evil.
The day immediately after that, I went to the Dulles Air and Space Museum in DC and saw The Dark Knight in IMAX, and needless to say, it delivered. I loved Batman Begins when I first saw it (I wrote about it on one of my earlier blogs) and this one just runs circles around it. The only question I have is how the third batman movie will top it...well we'll see.
I'm hoping to go to the Trivium/All That Remains tour..They come to my homestate in mid October, so maybe I'll try and get down there and see them. That's one hell of a touring duo. I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say that.
Anyways...Only about 9 and a half more hours till Kirisute Gomen is released, and I'm awaiting it like a kid on christmas eve. It should be brutal.
Music...I've been listening to a lot of Iced Earth, Dragonforce and Judas Priest lately. Ya gotta love the metal.
Anyways, I'm off to make myself a lot of bacon, then watch some more south park maybe, then play some guitar and stuff...anything to make the wait for kirisute gomen go by faster.
Thanks for reading,
Terrance
