Corey's Birthday Show
November 23, 2008 07:01AM
Well, we celebrated Corey's birthday "officially" last night. If you went to the Copenhagen show you know that we gave him a cake and everything like that on stage. Last night, however, was his actual birthday and what a great show. Everyone had a great time and the show was definitely something that should not have been missed by any fan if they had a chance to make it.
I have to say that after working with these guys for the past few years, it is always great to be part of their birthday celebrations. I am so glad that Corey had a good time since his last few birthdays were anything but. It seemed we were always in a broken down bus or a weird day off on his birthday.
Last night show definitely saw some rarities. We had Corey walking out to the bar - although no one bought him a shot, Matt going out to the front of house and Paolo's reoccuring stage dives. All in all everyone had fun and it was a great time. I hope that everyone that attended the show enjoyed the fact that the guys came out and hung with everyone after the show. I thank everyone for helping make Corey's birthday the best ever.
Hope to see you all soon,
Melissa
Goodbye UK
November 03, 2008 05:15PM
I just wanted to say goodbye to everyone in the UK. It was, as always, a great run of shows this year. Everyone had fun and enjoyed all the extra time we had in London.
We are off to Offenbach tonight. A very long drive (or should I actually say ride for us). I am sure we will be watching a lot of movies and trying to pass the time as much as possible. Maybe Matt will have his acoustic and will play some new music for me. Passing time on a long bus ride is always difficult. There is only so much that you can do to occupy your time. I, myself, am not a video game person so there goes that one. I will more then likely watch some movies and read.
I picked up this really strange book at the truck stop the other night. It is called Elephants on Acid. It has all these strange experiments that have been conducted over the years. I read the one about the smelling of farts for Luke to put on TW. It is quite interesting and what is even funnier then the fact that they actually can get funding to do a study of the way farts smell and how often people fart is the fact that they actually had people volunteer for these experiments.
Well that is all for now. Tonight's show was great. A wonderful ending to a wonderful set of shows.
Until we see you all again.... take care,
Melissa
It's the day after Halloween......
November 01, 2008 02:54PM
Hello all,
We have completed our two shows in London. We are all just hanging out at the hotel today. It is a day off before the Cardiff show. Although I wanted to go out and see a few things today, the weather was not permitting. So, after walking around the new mall that opened here (talk about being packed) I have returned to the hotel to relax a bit.
The two shows in London were wonderful. I think that the Halloween show will be the one to try to top on this tour. The band had a great time and the crowd seemed to enjoy themselves at the very front - of course everyone except those two guys in the front. It was wonderful to see Paolo keep getting up in his face throughout the show. I mean, really, if you don't like a band that is playing on a bill let it be. You can not always like all the bands that are touring together. Trust me I have been to more then my share of shows and there have been plenty of bands that I did not like, however, I always give them the respect that they are up there playing and they do have fans that came to see them.
The meet and greets were amazing in London. It was so nice to see everyone again and to even see some new faces. The meet and greet on Halloween night were a bit hectic. We had to use the VIP room and there were some VIP's in there so we had to cut it a little short. Sorry about that guys but it was out of my control. Next time it will be a longer and in a better location.
We have two more shows in the UK and then it is off to Europe. Let's see if they can welcome us as much as all of you have.
Ciao,
Melissa
