Hey Everyone!
How are you all doing?
Hope your all well and staying safe.
Just thought i'd do an update for those regular kind sweet readers of mine =]
Just lately,
I've just had alot of school based stuff going on..like getting organised for finishing school, but also not getting used to it yet, meaning im still in school, and still need to concentrate greatly to keep up the work until i finish.
In my Music class for one, im now in a KISS cover band as some of you know Hehe.
As some of you know, my college holds this day called "Music Industry day", its just basically 2 days at the end of the term(8 - 10 weeks of school) where all the bands/individuals in the music classes perform to everyone(Who decides to enter the theatre those days, because its open to anyone)
Its incredible doing this, really good experience, its like a semi gig of your own..
Our setlist for the performance are 3 Kiss Songs, being a KISS cover band and all haha.

Rock 'n' Roll All Night
and an original piece that im writing.
So that should be awesome, really kewl me thinks eh?
Haha majority of the people that know from here dont really like KISS apparently but still, the idea is kewl..
And no, im not wearing the Make up outfit, thought i wouldnt mind it, haha just for the experience, but no one else in the band wants to..
Ah fuck em haha.
Hmm what else.
Well, i finish school over all in 4 weeks..
4 damn weeks..
I mean..whoa much?
Im not sure what to say about it, let alone think about it..
So if i feel something soon, i'll let you know..

SO we got a preview of Down From the Sky last night..

Hey guys and gals!
How is everyone doing tonight/this morning?
Hope your ALL doing well!
Ok so admitedly this blog update is souly for the purpose of yesterday/last nights happenings hehe.
So i'll get straight to it!
I left Canberra at 8am yesterday(Wednesday) and drove up to Sydney while listening to Final Fantasy Advent Children Soundtrack and then went onto a familar band hehe.
Just to get my game on hehe.
Something i like to do as i get to Sydney, whether im goingt to a concert or not, i always listen to Trivium...well hey...im always listening to Trivium anyway!
Fuck! Haha
Anywho, so i listen to Trivium as i enter the out skirts of Sydney just purely so it sets the vibe for me, i love Sydney more than any other place, its what i've know for a long time so i love the place dearly, so i listen i Trivium as i enter the area and it just really makes me feel good!
So i get into Sydney, we went straight to Newtown (Where the Venue was) "Enmore Theatre"..
Enmore is like the next suburb yet Enmore theatre is in Newtown..
Hmm ok..
So i got there at 11:30am, and there was 4 dudes sitting at Door 7(Stage area entrance) and 2 girls sitting at the other door (Up stairs area entrance) and so i went stood at the Door 7 area and noticed a girl that was standing there, looked familiar but i didnt say anything for about 5 minutes..
And then i just said, hey you wouldnt by any chance be Bloodred187 would you? And she said yeh thats me hehe.
As it reached 12pm, i wonder where Nicola and Dale were because we were meant to be meeting at that time just at the entrance of the venue to hang out all afternoon, so i waited with Simone(Bloodred187) until about 3:30pm when Dale and his mate Paul showed up, so we just hung out all afternoon out the front, not too many people were showing up at that time..
Nicola Showed up at about 4pm i think hehe, i noticed her coming and then she went and stood 2 places down so i walked up to her and tapped her on the shoulder and said "Hey Nicola, im Angus, come to the front hehe"
So that was really kewl meeting and hanging with Nicola all afternoon and the guys aswell.
People did start to show up at about 4pm through till 7:30pm, it was mainly Door 7 that was getting packed.
But it was ok, cause we were all at the front!
As time started to make its way towards the 7pm mark, Alan, Dale and I started to wonder back and forth from the Box Office and our spot in line to enquire about the Meet and Greet passes.
We didnt get those till about 7:45pm..
"another 15 mins..another 10 mins..another 10 mins..."
It was that from 7 till 7:45pm basically..
And at about 7:55pm we started to get let in, the group we were in consisting of, Nicola, myself, Dale, Paul, Alan, Alans friend, Another member who im not sure who exactly he was and his girlfriend, nice people none the less! We went straight down the front of the Barrier and stood there until 8:30 when the support band "Daysend" made their way to the stage.
I check their myspace page the minute i heard they were supporting just to see who they were, what they were, thought i'd give them a chance right?
See how they go..
But on stage, i'll admit, they had something..
The lead Guitarist definitely had something going on..
His solos were pretty darn catchy, noticed some 5 string sweeps in that and tapping sweep runs, they were pretty kewl.
They also had like a 5 second Pinch Harmonic battle cause someone in the crowd yelled out "Pinch Harmonic!!" haha.
The bassist was a woman, with long blonde hair, fairly attractive if i might say hehe!
But yes, they were pretty kewl, i enjoyed them.
After a half hour wait that seemed like 5 minutes cause we were chatting to the fairly friendly security guards, the time came..
The Guitar techs had cranked up the Dean MKH Rising Sun guitar and brought it out for a 5 second check, and then Coreys Black 7 string CBV, and then Paolos White Warlock and they uncovered the Mighty Travis Smith Drum Kit.
5 minutes after that, it was the time of the night everyone had been waiting for..
Come in from the cold and into the thick air slight smoke and Heavy Metal..
Lights go down..
Divinity I enters..
The crowd going wild..screaming till their lungs had the crackle at the end of every yell..
Kirisute Gomen, the beautiful Oriental like intro begins and then as you all know, it enters the rad thrash riff and really gets into it..hard..
We then had Becoming the Dragon, which was epic as fuck as everyone in the crowd was singing along loud as fuck!
Next came, Detonation, which detonated the crowd into what was already a crazy fucking bunch of fans even more..
Next three were Ember To Inferno, Tread The Floods and Gunshot To The Head of Trepidation, which was amazing because the crowd at the end of the solo with the bass drum going BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM, and the crowd yelling HEY HEY HEY HEY all in time as you guys know..
Throughout when the guys were doing what they do best, they made an even more stage presense move by actually interacting with the crowd which i've never experienced before, they quite often came down right where i was and put their Guitar necks/headstocks in the crowd and let us play for like 5 seconds or so, and Paolo did the same aswell, seeing Matts, Coreys and Paolos faces right there when they came down and let us play was truely amazing, i've never done that before and i will never forget how i played each of their axes for that short time..
After that, we had a another new one, Into the Mouth of Hell We March, by that time, Nicola and I were out of the barrier area because Nicola couldnt breath and was literally being squished and she got pulled out, i was worried like fuck so i got pulled out after aswell and went after her, found her and stayed with her..
We went up to the Merch area just to see if we could get some merch cause we thought it'd be good time to.
We bought merch, and watched the rest of the setlist from the side of the stage but with perfect view and perfect sound.
The rest of the setlist went as folllows;
Broken one was really nice to hear live, seeing and hearing Paolo do his Bass intro was really kewl, because that intro is so catchy and groovy..i loved it absolutely..
Down from the Sky - This song..was incredible, having not heard it before in anyway despite having the temptation from Chris earlier that morning because he sent me the ripped live version from Japan, that intro for that song..so..melodic and anthemic perhaps? Made the hairs on my arms and body stand and gave me a chill..and then when Corey with his hard metal growl starts chanting "HEY HEY HEY HEY" that was awesome to do that with everyone, even though..no one knew where this brutality would lead them..
Departure(Incredible to hear live for the first time, everyone sung along and was sweet as hell, made a moment for each of us..)
Anthem(We Are The Fire)
Iron maiden(This..might've been one of my fav's of the night, i cant explain it..just..was epic..)
Covers - Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction, Journey - Dont Stop believing, AC/DC (Not sure which song) Ramstein - Du Hast, Sweet Home Alabama (Australia) and another but im not sure..
Pull Harder on the Strings of your Martyr lastly and fucking slayed the night, absolutely awesome, as always and you can imagine it right?
Hehe
So after the guys we know as Gods left the stage, the crowd started to Depart, and the members that stuck together all night with myself and Nicola formed together and waited in the stage area where we were meant to.
We were then taken up stairs back to the Cafe area and waited for all the other Special guests to join us for the meet and greet.
Unfortunately, there were so many randoms there, majority of the people there werent members, at the meet and greet i mean.
It ticked myself and the other members off a bit..
Considering...meet and greets are meant to be for MEMBERS ONLY..At least i thought so..
So we got taken back down to the Stage area after they had checked out MnG passes and then we waited for a about a minute of so..and Paolo, Matt, Travis and Corey came down the same stairs we did.
And everyone looked over with excitment and stoked expressions.
As you can tell, we all hung out with them for a while, getting indiviudual photos and getting things signed such as Shirts and posters and tickets and such, i personally wanted my artwork that many of you have seen and commented(Which i muchly appreciate) to get signed by guys themselves, so i did so gradually after chatting to each of them first off rather than just shoving something in their face like everyone does..
I hung out with Corey most of the Meet and greet, that man Corey..
Is just...the man...my fucking hero..
And hanging out with him with him looking at me smiling and enjoying the time we all had, was truely a moment i will never forget.
He complimented my Trivium Denim vest i made and my Leather jacket i was wearing, saying it was very German metal like "Yeh man Denim jacket, YEH!" Hehe in a German like way.
Justin Arcangel who joined us that night, also really liked my denim vest so he asked if he could take a photo of it for the Trivium Website (Which ever one he meant im not sure hehe) so yeh, im interested to see what happens with that one hehe.
It was time to leave, we had last minute comments and photos taken again and such.
And then we left the guys..till next time..
Nicola, Dale and his mate and I wondered outside to the Cloak Room and just waited for a bit chatting and such.
And then Dale and his mate Paul (Who was an awesome fella! Will be joining here soon!) left, they went to the Casino for the rest of the night until 5 am or so and went to the Airport back to Queensland.
Meanwhile, I waited with Nicola while she got a Taxi to her hostel.
And then she left, unfortunately i was on the phone as she was leaving so i couldnt make the moment as good as i could with another member by saying goodbye properly..im sad about that..
But still, we will meet again soon.
It was so amazing experiencing that with her and the other members..because we were all so close at the barrier together and such.
